The Art Of Self Belief

Are You Programmed To Fail Or Fly ?

My absolute passion in life is inspiring other women to be, do and have more. More of who they are, and more of what they want.

I believe that you can create the life you desire in a successful wedding business, as well as the other areas of your life such as family, holidays, lifestyle for example.Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 9.49.52 am

However in order to see your dreams come true, you need one essential ingredient and it’s one, no one else can give you.

It’s Self Belief

Your ability to back yourself, and push through any obstacle, any challenge and any roadblock you may face.

I know you’ve got big dreams, big plans and you’re ready to make it happen.

However, working with women in business, I’ve said many times that mindset is the biggest challenge, and it comes with a lack of self belief.

There has been many times in my life where a lack of self belief has tried to sneak in and take me out.  Plenty of times actually.

But over the years through loads and loads of practice I have managed to overcome many fears that would otherwise leave me terrified and unable to move forward.

And you can too. Once of my favourite quotes is you can have reasons or results, but you can’t have both.

Here some tips that have helped me overcome fear of failure, lack of self belief and feeling a little stuck….. so you can fly !

1. There is no such thing as failure. There’s only feedback.

“Failure” is only  a perception and can be used to provide you with critical insights to adjust your strategy to discover a better way forward.

It really is as simple as how you choose to look at it.

Failure is negative. Feedback is positive.  Choosing to look at anything you have tried that didn’t turn out so well as FEEDBACK , is your dream opportunity to learn what did work and also what didn’t so that you can do it better next time. – Winning !

2. Push Past Your Current Comfort Zone

Are you comfortable right now? If you say YES then it’s likely you’re not on your way to reaching your full potential.

Comfort does not bring success, it keeps you stagnate. When you can practise little things consistently that push you outside of your comfort zone, you will get stronger and strong and soon you will astound yourself at what you’re able to achieve.

An example for this for me has been speaking in public. This has been something I was always afraid of, never did in school and avoided like mad.

But then I was asked to do a couple of little speaking gigs like being on the success panel of the Ausmumpreneur network. This was quite easy because I wasn’t up there alone and I was answering questions compared to making a speech.Kim On Stage 3

This happened a few times and then I was asked to speak on stage in LA in front of hundreds of women entrepreneurs live and thousands watching via lifestream. Having these little practises earlier was invaluable !

Then, I went onto hosting my own live events and have never looked back.

So, what can you do to push yourself a little outside of your comfort zone to say YES and keep growing?

3. Learn About Yourself & Your Business On Every Level

Here’s the thing…. if you YOU don’t believe in yourself, your service or your products how will anyone else?

Understanding who you are as a business owner and becoming more and successful means being dedicated to your own personal growth as well as your business.

Learn about your strengths, don’t focus on your weaknesses and invest in reading books attending seminars and networking  with like minded people.

You can take two tests very cheaply on the internet. One is for general strengths and you will get your top 5 strengths as well as your 35 strengths in order of dominance.

The other is an entrepreneurial test which will help you see your natural born strengths as an entrepreneur – invaluable.

I discovered that my top strength is FUTURISTIC – able to see strong vision and a clear future, along with maximiser, positivity, strategic and communication.

Harnessing what you’re good at, understanding how you work best is critical to your success. Also being absolutely clear in your vision of your business, the benefits you offer brides who work with you and how you can deliver these results, will give you more and more confidence in yourself and grow your business.
